Our Neighborhood Improvement Program (NIP) grant request to fund creation of additional angled parking in the Five Points community has advanced to the second stage of consideration. The proposal provides for the addition of more than a hundred parking spaces. Locations for the new parking spaces are being recommended by the El Paso City Planning Department according to their analysis of road conditions and the suggestions of our development association board.
Round two calls for a petition for the parking spaces to be signed by at least 100 households and/or businesses. If you would be willing to sign the petition please contact us so we can include your name.
An informational meeting is being planned (schedule TBA) to provide details and allow for community input.
