It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing, on October 19th, of the long-time President of the Five Points Development Association, Jim Erickson. There is no one with a greater knowledge of the issues facing Five Points, no one who knew better who to see and talk to and no one with greater concern and passion for a positive future for Five Points. Leaders of Jim’s caliber come but rarely. We were lucky to have had him and his skills and knowledge for so many years. The loss to Five Points, indeed to the entire El Paso community is incalculable. His passing, for us who were privileged to call him friend, will leave a great personal void.
